Wood-Rot Restoration.

Soft, rotten lumber out — rebuilt to last another 30 years.

The Work

Hidden water damage from roof leaks, irrigation overspray, missing flashing, or weather can quietly destroy structural lumber for years. We open the affected area, identify the moisture source, replace what's compromised, properly flash the assembly so it can't happen again, then rebuild the finish so the repair disappears.

Method · 5 steps

  1. 01

Probe and assess the extent — most rot is bigger than it looks.

  2. 02

Identify and remediate the moisture source first.

  3. 03

Remove all compromised lumber back to sound material.

  4. 04

Replace with treated or appropriate-grade lumber, properly flashed.

  5. 05

Rebuild stucco/drywall/paint so the wall reads continuous again.

Frequently asked

Can you find rot before tearing things apart?

+

Mostly yes. We probe with awls and moisture meters, and we've seen enough patterns to predict what's behind the wall. We open exploratory access only where necessary, and we always quote demo separately so there are no surprises.

Do you fix the leak too, or just the wood?

+

Both. There's no point replacing rotted wood if the source is still active. We find and stop the leak, then rebuild the structure.
